OLIVES W.A.
The West Australian Olive Council
Inc (WAOC) is the peak body representing growers and producers across Western
Australia and over 1.5 million olive trees. WAOC supports the WA olive industry
by providing a central point of contact for industry in WA for the
dissemination of information from the AOA and other stakeholders; horticultural
information distributed by various bodies; advocacy on behalf of the West
Australian olive growers; representation on the Board of the AOA; organising
and managing the WAOC website; organising EVOO and Table Olive competitions;
working closely with the AOA to ensure that WA is including in all Consumer
Awareness Campaigns.

WAOC is chaired by Mr John
Wholley and the Olives WA Board is composed of either the Presidents or a
nominated representative from the committees of the Regional Associations and
representatives from the Large Enterprise Groups (LEGS) in WA. John
Wholley (as President) is the WA Director on the Board of the national peak
body, the Australian Olive Association (AOA). The current Alternative
Director is to be announced.
