AOA VICTORIA

About us: AOA Victoria is a branch of the Australian Olive Association. It was formed in 2008 for the purposes of representing the growers in Victoria at a state level. The Committee meets monthly by conference call, Skype or in person. At the moment AOAV is engaged in four primary activities:

1.   Distribute information from the AOA which is relevant to Victorian members.

2.   Provide a newsletter from time to time with general industry news and events not included above.

3.   Participate in and provide support for strategic marketing events to put the smaller producers in front of the biggest possible audience.

4.   Convey issues and questions from Regional Associations and direct members to the AOA or its officers.

Council AOAV's rules of association provide for a management Committee constituted as follows:

·       one representative from each Regional Association, up to a total of seven

·       up to two representatives from the Large Enterprise Group

·       up to two representatives from the Special Interest Group

·       up to seven representatives of Direct Members not in Regional Associations.

As of the last AGM, there are no Large Enterprise Group or SIG members. We have the following Regional Association representatives:

·       Goulburn-Strathbogie

·       Geelong and District

·       Mornington

·       Olive Producers North-East

·       West Gippsland

All Committee positions and office-bearers will be up for election at the AGM, which is to be held at 4.15pm on Day 1 of the National Olive Industry Conference (Tuesday 25th October 2011).
